Flinkenberg offers comprehensive solutions for energy management
With a history of 105 years, Flinkenberg Oy is a Finnish family-owned company that specialises in technical wholesale. Flinkenberg’s energy business unit offers comprehensive energy management solutions and products to retailers, professional users and installation companies. Flinkenberg’s long history also brings with it very long customer relationships, which reflects the company’s reliable and customer-oriented approach built for the long term.
“Sustainable and long-lasting principal relationships strengthen our ability to respond to our customers’ changing needs, and they promote a smooth sales process. Our vast experience has brought us very extensive and good networks around the world, which means that large wholesalers also use our services in certain areas,” says Tero Viitanen, Business Director of Flinkenberg Oy’s energy business unit.
Cooperation that starts already in the product development phase
Flinkenberg’s energy business unit offers a wide range of products for the various needs of the energy industry, including the Vision energy management service, battery technology, EV charging solutions, energy storage, solar panels, inverters and a comprehensive range of different control devices for managing these. In addition, the product areas include control equipment for demanding applications in the defence, marine and medical sectors, for example.
“We are involved in supporting customers already in the product development phase. Our strong technical expertise and knowledge of the principal’s products also make it possible to train customers and installation partners, which we supplement in cooperation with the principals,” says Viitanen.
Vision Valvomo maximises solar power stations’ lifecycle and yield
Flinkenberg’s Vision Valvomo is a remote monitoring service for solar power stations that is aimed at ensuring undisrupted operation and maximising the lifecycle and return on investment of the power stations. The service combines real-time monitoring, automatic alerts and predictive maintenance support.
“The Vision energy management service has been providing reliable remote monitoring for solar power stations for over a decade. Vision Valvomo represents the next development phase of the service, in which monitoring, analytics and maintenance support have been developed as a whole. Real-time visibility, automatic alerts and AI-assisted diagnostics improve response times, reduce production downtime and support the long-term profitability of the solar power station,” says Viitanen.
Flinkenberg Oy’s turnover is approximately EUR 50 million, and the company employs around 85 people. The company’s main market area is Finland, but it also has sales to the Baltic countries and Sweden. The company’s other industries of operations include the steel and chemical industries.
Highlight: Vision’s real-time remote monitoring provides companies with visibility into the operation of solar power stations as well as into device, status and malfunction data.
